Happy New Year!
A new year has officially started and most of us have already made our resolutions. New Year New You is a growing theme for each passing year. As you are tossing out old habits and gaining new healthy habits what about your skincare habits? This year I encourage you to set some skincare resolutions. Here are a few on my list that maybe you can add to your own.
1. Drink more water- Yes we cannot hear this enough but it's true. Drinking more water is beneficial to overall health including skin health. Water helps flush out excess toxins in the body and for the skin helps renew cells to reveal fresh new skin. Let's get rid of old dead skin cells from 2018 and get glowing skin in 2019.
2. Get more sleep- This is another one that we hear often but I don't think we realize how beneficial sleep is to our skin. Every night our skin repairs itself, this is why many skincare treatments are applied nightly. Without enough rest your body is not able to fully function. This also takes nutrients away from other body organs including skin. Do yourself and your skin a favor and get some sleep.
3. Try new products- It's so easy to keep using the same products but our skin can get used to certain products and lose its efficacy. 4. Dedicated Beauty time- This ties into the first 3 resolutions. Skincare is also a part of good self care habits.
